🚨 Maybole Driving Theory Course 🚨

We are happy to share that we are supporting learner drivers in North Carrick through collaboration with SAC Thriving Communities – Community Learning and Development. So far, we have two students learning the practical skills and seven have completed their theory and should soon progress to driving lessons. The next tranche of students for theory will start in Feb – details below!
 
Thriving Communities will be offering another Driving Theory Course starting on Tuesday 11th February above Maybole Library.
If you are looking to start your driving journey and live in the North Carrick area, NCCBC are working in partnership with Thriving Communities to to offer support and funding for your Driving Theory and Practical Driving Tests!

Rural Skills Investigation

This work was conducted by CEIS as part of NCCBC’s Foundations for Recovery Programme.

This report explores rural skills definitions, provision and development in North Carrick. It represents the initial step in understanding rural skills within this specific context and provides suggestions on future development of rural skills training and provision within North Carrick to develop a skilled workforce across the community. Through in-depth interviews with employers/ training providers and desk-based research the report examines the definition of rural skills in North Carrick, the current provision of rural skills, training gaps and areas of opportunity.

Rural Retail Park Study Report

This work was conducted by CEIS as part of NCCBC’s Foundations for Recovery Programme.

This report investigates :

  • A baseline for the project in terms of goals, assessment criteria and initial enterprise concept
  • key findings from study research
  • a proposed enterprise model, development approach and associated business risks
  • a SWOT Analysis assessment of the overall project, and associated conclusions
  • supporting information in appendices

Online Portal Options

This work was conducted by CEIS as part of NCCBC’s Foundations for Recovery Programme.

This report investigates needs for a potential Online Learning Portal based on the work done for the Rural Skills and Third Sector Training Academy.

It looks at desired outcome, who would benefit and goes into detail on several different solutions:
1) Bespoke portal
2) Off-The-Shelf portal
3) Signposting portal
Each potential solution has different merits and issues, but they cover the range of solutions needed to spark this project into life.
